Makaton for …… Early Years
This course has been developed to support early communication and language development. Research has shown that using sign and symbols at an early age reduces frustration and helps children to express their needs. Signing support children's understanding and ability to make choices and course particpants will learn key signs and symbols in practical situations in an early setting.
When: Dates and times by arrangement
Format: online or in-person as required
Session duration 3.5 hours sessions - can be taught in one block or in separate sessions
Minimum group size: 4 participants
Maximum group size: 12 participants (online) or 15 participants (in-person)
What you’ll need
For online sessions you will require a computer fitted with a video camera & microphone (most tablet and laptop computers have these). A mobile phone is unlikely to be very satisfactory
An internet connection capable of running a video call.
To have downloaded the Zoom app in advance of the session.
To have provided your email address (at least the day before) so that we can send you the Zoom invitation for the session.
