Makaton tailors its language programme for specific professions through specialised workshops and vocabulary sets. These professional modules equip workers with relevant signs and symbols for their profession—such as clinical terms for healthcare or specific signs and symbols for dentistry—to effectively communicate with colleagues, clients, and patients who have communication difficulties.
When: Dates and times by arrangement
Format: online or in-person (preferred) as required
Session duration: 6 x 2.5 hours including breaks
Minimum group size: 4 participants
Maximum group size: 10 participants (online) or 10 participants (in-person)
Cost: £60.00 per person or
Group Bookings £250 + cost of manuals (dependant on numbers)
What you’ll need
For online sessions you will require a computer fitted with a video camera & microphone (most tablet and laptop computers have these). A mobile phone is unlikely to be very satisfactory
An internet connection capable of running a video call.
To have downloaded the Zoom app in advance of the session.
To have provided your email address (at least the day before) so that we can send you the Zoom invitation for the session.
